Workstream Inc.'s Xylo Enhances Work/Life Solutions with E-Duction's Clear
Partnership allows employees to shop online and pay for their purchases through payroll deduction using Clear
2/12/03
BLUE BELL, PA, February 12, 2003 E-Duction, Inc. announced today that the company has entered an agreement with Workstream Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTM) that will allow employees in Workstream's Xylo network to buy name-brand products and pay for them through payroll deduction. Under the agreement, Xylo will offer E-Duction's Clear program to its partner companies. Xylo services companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Eddie Bauer and Charles Schwab. Employees who open a Clear account will be able to go online through Xylo, purchase products at a sizeable discount, and then conveniently pay for their purchase through payroll deduction. Clear not only avoids the potential interest and late fees associated with some purchase methods, but it also saves time as there are no bills to pay or checks to write. Purchases through Clear are paid over a two-month period in equal installments drawn from the employees' paychecks.
Xylo, a division of Workstream, provides employers comprehensive programs that help their employees successfully balance their work and home lives. Clear, a product of E-Duction, allows employees to purchase products and services at any MasterCard acceptance location and pay for them over time without interest via payroll deduction.
"Clear helps companies strengthen their relationship with
their employees by making their benefits better," says Kirk
Watkins, CEO of E-Duction. "Workstream's focus on building
employer/employee relationships through work/life balance
makes Xylo a great fit for Clear." "Clear enhances our work/life
solutions," says Art Halloran, president and COO of Workstream.
"There is no better way to help employees with work/life balance
than by saving them time and money, while allowing them access
to some of the world's greatest products and services in a
convenient, online environment." Employees will also be able
to use their Clear card at more than 29 million MasterCard
acceptance locations.
