Aon to Offer Clear to America’s Leading Employers
Leading International Human Resource Consulting Firm Offers Innovative Employee Program

11/25/02

BLUE BELL, PA, October 15, 2002— Aon (NYSE: AOC) announced today that it has signed an agreement with E-Duction to offer its existing and prospective clients Clear, an innovative interest-free payroll deduction card. Under the agreement, Aon will make Clear available to companies seeking to provide more employee benefits choices at no additional cost to the corporation. Clear allows employees to purchase products and services from any MasterCard acceptance location and pay for them through interest-free installments deducted from their paychecks.

"For a company introducing an innovative employee program, an alliance with Aon is a crowning achievement; I can think of no better arrangement for E-Duction," begins Kirk Watkins, CEO of E-Duction. "Aon's reputation as a progressive, forward-thinking firm, committed to building value for its blue chip portfolio of clients reflects a similar commitment by E-Duction to deliver real value to both employers and employees alike."

"Clear is a groundbreaking solution for our clients," said Paul Chicos, Executive Vice President, Aon Consulting. "Companies are faced with the rising costs of healthcare insurance and other core benefits, thus, employers are looking for ways to enrich their benefits offerings. Clear is a valuable program that saves employees time and money and helps them better manage their personal finances."

To make purchases, employees simply present Clear at any MasterCard acceptance location. Merchants process the transaction just as they would with any payment card. The payments then are drawn directly from employees' paychecks over two months, interest free. For instance, a typical employee earning $40,000 a year receives a Clear credit line calculated as 2.5 percent of their annual salary, or $1,000. If the employee pays for a $400 emergency auto repair using Clear, $100 is deducted from their bi-weekly pay for the next four pay periods.
