Philadelphia, November 21, 2000 The Greater Philadelphia Chamber
of Commerce has named E-Duction, Inc. as this year's Innovative
Business of the Year. E-Duction bested 50 other nominees for the
honor, which was awarded as part of the 2000 Small Business Excellence
Awards ceremony held on Friday, November 17.
The Small Business Council of the Chamber developed
the annual awards to recognize the achievement, leadership and innovation
of small businesses, a group representing 97 percent of the region's
companies and 89 percent of the Chamber's membership.
"E-Duction is very honored to have been selected
for this award," commented Kirk Watkins, President and CEO
of the company. "Our aim is to provide employers with the opportunity
to offer their employees a one-of-a-kind benefit. To be recognized
for innovation shows that E-Duction delivers value to employers
and employees alike, and that people are starting to take notice
of our company."
This latest honor is another in a series of recent acknowledgments
for the year-old company. E-Duction, Inc. was recently ranked among
the Philadelphia Business Journal's 100 Fastest Growing Private
Companies, as well as being distinguished a "Company to Watch"
at this year's Eastern Technology Council 2000 Enterprise Awards,
sponsored by PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
